Hotel Emperador (Gran Vía, 53)
The Hotel Emperador located in a historic building in the heart of Gran Vía has an excellent rooftop terrace on the 10th floor with an outdoor pool, one of the largest in the city, with 360° views. Throughout the summer months, from 1 May to 30 September, it offers an elegant beach club vibe during the day, with a restaurant and snack bar serving all kinds of delicious, fresh, summer dishes. The price of admission includes a towel, a sun lounger and a glass of Möet Ice. In addition, throughout the year, as afternoon turns to evening, this terrace becomes a cocktail bar, the perfect place to enjoy the best sunsets.
Ocean Drive Madrid (Plaza de Isabel II, 7)
Opposite the Teatro Real opera house, the rooftop of the Ocean Drive Madrid hotel is home to the OD Sky Bar terrace with an outdoor pool available from May to September. A stunning location to enjoy an aperitif or a light snack at any time of the day, or fantastic cocktails as you take in the breathtaking views and sunset over the Royal Palace. Food and drinks are served from 12:30pm to 7:30pm.
The Madrid Edition (Plaza de las Descalzas, s/n)
On the rooftop of The Madrid Edition hotel, the most exclusive brand owned by the Marriott chain, you will find the largest luxury infinity pool in Madrid. Guests can enjoy refreshing cocktails and snacks on this terrace that has 25 sun loungers and 5 Balinese beds with beautiful views of the city centre as a backdrop. The terrace is open from 7am to 10pm, and food is served from 12pm to 9:30pm. With room for up to 45 people, it does not take bookings, operating on a first-come-first-served basis.
Inhala Hotel Garden (San Bernardo, 1)
Very close to the Palacio de Oriente, the Inhala Hotel Garden has a salt water swimming pool, measuring 10x10 m (x5 m) with powerful jets for swimming against the current. After a refreshing dip in the pool, you can have a drink at the bar, kick back and enjoy the afternoon as you take in the views of central Madrid. The pool is free and available exclusively to guests of the hotel. It closes at 7pm because at that time the pool is then covered over, and the space becomes the Inhala Terraza.
Room Mate Óscar (Plaza Pedro Zerolo, 12)
On the edge of Gran Vía, between Fuencarral and Barquillo, Room Mate Óscar has a rooftop pool and terrace with minimalist décor, Balinese beds, chaise longue loungers and a large bar area. The perfect place to go in summer and have an aperitif, enjoy a spot of brunch (available on Saturdays) or relax on one of the beds and take a refreshing dip in the pool to beat the heat. The pool opens on 30 May and, if you are not a guest of the hotel, you can book via email to enjoy a wonderful day in the sun.

During the summer months, the luxurious Pestana Plaza Mayor hotel located in the heart of Madrid de los Austrias has an outdoor pool on its roof overlooking the city’s most traditional neighbourhood, as well as a rooftop bar.
Thompson Madrid (Plaza del Carmen, s/n)
This luxury 5-star hotel is in the Plaza del Carmen. On the 8th floor, there is a heated outdoor infinity pool with hydro massage system (available for guests only). Iberostar Las Letras Gran Vía (Gran Vía, 11)
High above Madrid’s Gran Vía is one of the city’s most special terraces, the Iberostar Las Letras Gran Vía. After a long day of sightseeing, you can relax in the rooftop pool on the sixth floor of the hotel open between May and October from 12pm to 7pm. It also has a solarium where you can relax while sunbathing.
Exe Moncloa (Arcipreste de Hita, 10)
Exe Moncloa, which stands above the neighbourhood of Chamberí, has a rooftop pool on its Poniente terrace with views of the Sierra de Guadarrama mountains and the surrounding plains. Open only in summer, in this pool you can enjoy a relaxed afternoon in good company as you take in an exclusive view of the city.
