XXI Suma Flamenca 2026

The Teatros del Canal and various stages across the Madrid region will host the twenty-first edition of the Suma Flamenca Festival from 13 October to 1 November 2026, with 43 galas, 23 world premieres and 11 premieres in Madrid.

Suma Flamenca has become one of the most important flamenco festivals worldwide. In addition to making way for the leading artists of this international art, it has presented more than 200 young artists playing the guitar, singing and dancing, sponsored by the great flamenco figures.

The Teatros del Canal are the nerve centre of the festival, although the programme will also be held at other venues, such as the Athenaeum of Madrid, Teatro de la Abadía and the Paco Rabal and Pilar Miró cultural centres in Vallecas. This year, it will also be extended to three municipalities within the Community: San Lorenzo de El Escorial (Carlos III Royal Colliseum), La Cabrera (Sierra Norte County Centre for Humanities) and Rascafría (El Paular Royal Monastery).

As a prelude to Suma Flamenca, the Suma Flamenca Joven series will be held in the Green Hall at the Teatros del Canal in the middle of September. It will include an exhibition of guitar concert players, flamenco singers and dancers under the age of 30.
