The Suma Flamenca festival is back with a performance by Pino Losada, accompanied by the flamenco singers, Aroa Fernández, Gabriel de la Tomasa and José del Calli, on 24 October in the Sala Negra (Black Hall) at Teatros del Canal, with the première of Confluencia, a concert in which their most intimate and sincere side can be heard.
Musician, composer and guitarist, Diego Fernández Montoya, known as "El Pino", comes from a famous family of artists, called “Los Losada”. He began his studies at the early age of 6, taught by his father, Diego Losada. It was not until he was 14 that he fully entered the world of flamenco, performing in the most prestigious flamenco houses in Madrid, forming part of the show by the dancer, Antonio Canales Raíces. It is at this moment that he started to work with more influential dancers on the flamenco scene: Rafael Amargo and Joaquín Cortés, among others, whereby this latest project is his best known worldwide: “Soul”.
He also participates in the flamenco musical, One Thousand and One Nights, with his family. He forms part of the recording of La Misa Flamenca, in which artists of the likes of Potito, Guadiana, Duquende and El Cigala participate.
Having shared the stage with leading dancers, such as Jesús Carmona, José Maldonado, Gema Moneo, Patricia Guerrero, among others, he now presents his latest show, Suena el Alma. It is a piece that promises to disconnect from the outside world to delve into the inner-self.
