Established in 1956, this is one of the oldest tablaos in Madrid. Over the years it has been visited by legendary actors like Gary Cooper, Rita Hayworth, Charlton Heston, Natalie Portman and Richard Gere, former presidents such as George Bush, Richard Nixon, Carlos Menem and J. F. Kennedy, and artists as renowned as Pablo Picasso and Salvador Dalí.
Some of the world’s top flamenco singers, dancers and guitarists have performed here, including Isabel Pantoja, La Chunga, Antonio Gades, Blanca del Rey and Pastora Imperio. Regarded by many as the country’s flamenco mecca, the Corral currently has its own troupe of dancers, guitar players and singers.
The flamenco club boasts two restaurants helmed by chef David García: Restaurante Tablao, a large eatery which also houses the stage where the artists perform, and Restaurante Corral de la Morería, an exclusive restaurant with just four tables, which was awarded a Michelin star in 2019 and the National Gastronomy Award in 2018.
