In recent years Madrid has become a top destination for LGBT travellers, and it’s easy to see why. Not only is it a first-class tourist and cultural destination, it's also a fun, friendly and tolerant city where diversity is a defining feature of everyday life. The Madrid Pride festivities, regarded as some of the best in the world, are a good example of this. Wherever you’re from and whoever you love, Madrid loves you.

 

World Pride Madrid 2017

In 2017, Madrid is the international capital of diversity with the celebration of the great world LGTB Pride festival (23 June-2 July).

The world’s largest LGBT parade aims to bring together over 2 million people between vindications and a festive atmosphere (1 July. Atocha to Colón).

A varied programme that includes concerts, the EuroPride Gala and the closing of World Pride Madrid (30 Jun-2 Jul).

The scenario will include three days of concerts, electronic music sets and the celebration of Love Festival (29 Jun-1 Jul).

A space that will host several concerts, special parties and the celebration of Mr. Gay Pride Spain (28 Jun-1 Jul).

Fun and information for the whole family, fostering diversity (Puente del Rey, Madrid Rio. 28 Jun-2 Jul).

LGTBI events

The world’s best burlesque cabaret show comes to Spain for the first time (Teatro Calderón. Tues - Sun. 21 Jun-9 Jul).

Madrid’s great World Pride party launches a festival of performing arts, gastronomy, film and music from an LGBT perspective (Various venues. 22 Jun-2 Jul).

The first flamenco festival from the LGBT perspective is born with artists of the likes of Miguel Poveda or Rocío Molina (Various venues. 27 Jun-1 Jul).

10th edition of the traditional race on up to 15cm heels (Calle Pelayo. 29 June).

Madrid dons bright colours to celebrate World Pride Madrid, running for sexual tolerance and freedom (Plaza de Colón. 25 June). 

Historic journey through the origins and history of the LGTBQI movement in Spain (Conde Duque. Till 24 September).

Transexuality from the anthropological, historic and artistic perspective (Museum of the Americas. Till 24 September).
