The flamenco singer will be performing on 19 December at IFEMA MADRID as part of the third edition of the STARLITE Madrid festival. In this event, the artist will showcase his talent as a flamenco singer and songwriter, with new compositions and revamped classics as part of the Christmas show, El Árbol de la Alegría.
Miguel Poveda will be participating in Starlite Madrid for the first time, in a unique Christmas show in which he will be accompanied on stage by the guitar and production of Jesús Guerrero. More than just carols, the singer will take the audience on an emotional journey full of roots, memories and hope.
Poveda became interested in flamenco at an early age and he spent his youth listening to albums by maestros, such as La Niña de los Peines, Juan Varea, Rafael Farina or Camarón de la Isla, who soon became his influences. He appeared on stage for the first time at the age of 15, but it was not until 1995 that he released his first flamenco album, Viento.
Since that first album, his career has developed to become one of the most renowned flamenco singers. He has won numerous awards, including various Latin Grammy nominations, and he has sold millions of albums. His most noteworthy collaborations are with Enrique Morente, Cristina Hoyos, Tomatito, Santiago Auserón, Maria del Mar Bonet, Mariza, Pasión Vega, Chavela Vargas, María Dolores Pradera, Ana Belén, Víctor Manuel, Pedro Guerra, Joaquín Sabina or Joan Manuel Serrat.
