The Alma Festival concert series, which originated in Barcelona, is holding its first edition in Madrid from 30 May to 17 June 2024, at Enrique Tierno Galván Park. This edition will feature performances by acclaimed groups, such as Deep Purple, Jamie Cullum, Evanescence, Valeria Castro or Vetusta Morla, among many others.
This initiative marks a milestone in the history of the festival as it has been held exclusively in the Jardins Pedralbes in Barcelona from 2013 until 2022 under the name of Jardins Pedralbes Festival. In the summer of 2023, it changed location, moving to Poble Espanyol and becoming the ALMA Festival.
After its resounding success, this festival is also coming to Madrid in the summer of 2024, with an extensive line-up of artists, whereby the presence of groups and artists such as the British hard rock band Deep Purple, considered to be one of the best bands and pioneers of the genre, has already been confirmed. There will also be live performances by the talented English jazz and pop singer and pianist, Jamie Cullum; the alternative rock band, Evanescence led by the iconic vocalist Amy Lee; the Canarian singer-songwriter Valeria Castro, nominated for the Latin Grammy 2023 in the category of Best Songwriter; and the band, Vetusta Morla, one of today’s most influential Spanish pop rock groups.
