12 May, Madrid hosts the Carrera de la Mujer Central Lechera Asturiana. Run by over 30,000 women, it's one of the most popular races on the European calendar, harnessing the power of sports events for greater social good.

In 2023 (19th edition), 32,000 female runners—from the age of 8 years old and upwards—participated in the 7.2K race which started on Calle de Serrano, next to El Retiro Park, and finished on Paseo de Camoens in Oeste Park.
