SIX, the Musical

The phenomenon that is revolutionising the musical genre and conquering Broadway and London’s West End is now coming to Madrid to win over audiences with its energy and unique style. The six wives of Henry VIII will be given a voice through microphones at the Teatro Gran Vía from 12 September 2026 (performances from Tuesday to Sunday), empowering them through pop to come out of the shadow of their infamous husband with an explosive mix of energy, humour and contemporary music.

This musical presents his six wives on stage to tell their side of the story. Catherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyna, Jane Seymour, Anna of Cleves, Katherine Howard and Catherine Parr face each other in a  musical battle to decide who suffered the most in her turbulent marriage with the king. Unfiltered, they have been turned into authentic pop divas. 

Microphone in hand and musical numbers full of rhythm, irony and charisma, each Queen tells her story to win the symbolic throne of survival... and, of course, the sympathy of the audience.

SIX, the Musical is produced by Kenny Wax, Wendy & Andy Barnes and George Stiles, and is presented in Spain by Julia Gómez Cora and Dmitry Bogachev’s Stellar Theatre Company. It has been written by the winners of the TONY® Award, Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss.

It is a musical that combines history, humour, electrifying choreographies and a soundtrack that has exceeded 5.5 billion streams. It has been seen by more than 3.5 million spectators each year and has won two Tony® Awards and has been nominated for a Grammy.
