The Opera Locos - Yllana

The Yllana company brings us this comedy show based on the biggest opera hits that are mixed with other musical styles for a surprising result. From 29 July to 30 August 2026 (Wednesday to Sunday) at Gran Teatro CaixaBank Príncipe Pío.

Five of the best opera singers get together for a novel audition where everything goes out of control and the hidden feelings and passions come to light turning the stage into a true battle field. This is how the opera is brought to the audience, making it more fun and above all unconventional.

Yllana is an artists’ collective created in 1991 specialized in gestural theater. Their plays have become famous in the silent Spanish comedy. Some of their most famous shows include Splash!, 666, Olimplaff and Action Man. Their shows have been represented in 44 countries and seen by more than 1.5 million people. 

Yllena has also created numerous sketches and commercials for television and has worked with the artists like Leo Bassi, Elliot and Joseph Collard.
