The Spanish Ballet of the Community of Madrid will be premièring a poem in movement that reflects on the human ability to be born again in the face of adversity, from 24 September to 4 October in the Concha Velasco Red Hall at the Teatros del Canal.
Designed as a contemporary Spanish dance suite, the production traces the journey of healing and reconstruction, intertwining the strength of folk roots, the emotional intensity of flamenco and the expressive freedom of contemporary creation. The production turns resilience into a theatrical experience through meticulous staging, in which the dramaturgy of colour plays an essential role, accompanied by live flamenco music on a journey from darkness towards the light.
The result is a highly visual and emotional show that invites spectators to share a transformation process marked by hope. Beyond its artistic dimension, the production tells a universal story on downfall, overcoming adversity and rebirth. This production seeks to move fans of dance and music, as well as anyone who has had to reinvent themselves at some point in their life and therefore can see themselves reflected in this story of resilience and reconstruction.
The Spanish Ballet of the Community of Madrid is a public company set up by the Regional Government to preserve, renew and project Spanish dance in all of its forms: bolero, stylised, folklore and flamenco. Founded in 2024 with its headquarters at Teatros del Canal and the Carlos III Royal Coliseum de San Lorenzo de El Escorial, the ensemble combines the recovery of choreographic heritage with contemporary creation and the training of new generations of performers, directed by the dancer, Mónica Fernández.
