In 2025, Madrid is hosting the Final Four of the League of Legends Superleague, the largest eSports event in Spain. Organised by the Professional Video Games League, at this event, the four best teams of the season will be coming together on 30 and 31 August at the Madrid Arena to compete for the title. Madrid in Game is a partner organisation, supporting this key event for the video game industry.
The Final Four will be the highlight of the season, where the most prominent teams will battle it out for the title. In addition to the semifinals and the grand final, the event will include interactive activities, exhibitions and dedicated areas for the public to enjoy the culture surrounding esports.
During the Final Four, Madrid in Game will have its own space, presenting the work of the Video Game Campus and its entrepreneurship programme that promotes the development of the sector in the city. There will also be activities organised by the Madrid in Game eSports team, including exhibitions and meet-and-greets with prominent figures from the community.
Videogames have become the most popular form of audiovisual entertainment in Spain in recent years, with nearly 20 million video gamers in the country.
