The indie pop group from Northern Ireland, led by Neil Hannon is offering a new tour of concerts. This tour will be stopping off at the Teatro Real on 26 July as part of Revolution´65 Festival, where songs like Something For The Weekend, A Lady of A Certain Age or Our Mutual Friend can be heard.
Founded in 1989, The Divine Comedy is an alternative music band that moves around the indie and rock styles. Led by Neil Hannon (Derry, United Kingdom, 1970), it has been performing on stages worldwide for more than 30 years. On 4 February 2022, the group will release its latest album, Charmed Life – The Best Of The Divine Comedy and will embark on a European tour that will visit the continent’s leading cities.
Its latest album includes a compilation of hit singles that are favourites of the fans, including remastering at Abbey Road Studios. The band’s greatest hits, such as National Express, A Lady of A Certain Age, Something For The Weekend, Songs of Love or Our Mutual Friend, are joined by the new song, The Best Mistakes.
Neil Hannon is considered by many to be one of the best composers in the United Kingdom. Together with his strong voice and his ability to win over the audience at each live performance, his concerts are not to be missed.
Throughout his career, he has worked with artists of the likes of Michael Nyman or Tom Jones, composed for television programmes and has even written the musical adaptation of Swallows and Amazons by Arthur Ransome for the Teatro Nacional.
