Madrid’s summer evenings are back for yet another year with an interesting leisure offer to enjoy summer nights in the company of the best live music and a seasonal gastronomic proposal. This initiative will be open to the public from Wednesday to Saturday from 24 June to 29 August 2026, at the picturesque Olivar de Castillejo, a garden full of century-old olive trees in Chamartín. Visitors will be able to enjoy several outdoor classical music concerts in a unique setting.
The Olivar de Castillejo Foundation is organising this cycle, designed as an opportunity for young talents to show their passion for music in a natural setting. It is a special venue with more than one hundred century-old olive trees, along with almond trees, rock roses, broom and rosemary.
The concert area, which is open from Wednesday to Saturday, will feature performances by different classical music ensembles. A refreshment area has been set up for visitors.
The concert series will kick off on 25 June with the performance by cellist Javier Albarés and pianist Cristina Sanz. Together they will perform François Francœur's Sonata for Cello and Piano in E Major and several pieces by Franz Schubert, including Impromptu D 899, Opus 90, No. 3 in G-flat Major, the Lied "Du bist die Ruh," and Arpeggione Sonata D 821.
The concert series will come to an end on 29 August with a special closing recital featuring the tenor Marcelo Solís and pianist José Ángel Onieva Collantes. The program, entitled "A Night at the Opera," will consist of three parts.
