The 2027 Madrid Carnival Parade (expected to take place on Saturday 6 February 2027 from Puente de Toledo to Explanada Negra) will fill the streets with magic, joy, and diversity, offering an exciting journey through various artistic and cultural expressions.
Featuring an eclectic mix of street theatre, circus acts, giant puppets and fantastical creatures, the parade serves as the perfect blend of innovative, cutting-edge performances and cherished carnival traditions.
The 2026 edition featured the School of the Puppet Centre's creative contribution–their giant puppets and masked stilt-walkers added a touch of fantasy and colour to the proceedings–as well as folklore and community groups who brought the spirit of carnivals from Bolivia, Ecuador, Chile, Colombia, Uruguay and beyond, with traditional dances, costumes and live music.
