The Italian singer Al Bano is giving a concert on 23 July 2026 at the Teatro Real, in which he will review his artistic career through his greatest hits: from Nel sole to Sharazán, Felicità, Nostalgia canaglia and È la mia vita.
Born in Cellino San Marco (Italy) in 1943, Albano Carrisi, known only as Al Bano, is one of the most prominent voices in Italian music thanks to his distinctive style and emotional performance. Throughout his career, he has explored a wide variety of genres, including pop, opera and traditional Italian music.
He made his singing debut at the Festival of the Rose in 1966 and on television in Settevoci, a programme hosted by Pippo Baudo. Al Bano was at the height of his fame in the 1970s and 1980s when he worked in a series of famous musical duets with the vocalist Romina Power, with whom he not only formed a musical partnership, but also married in 1970 and had four children.
He has released more than 40 albums and has participated in countless auditions and musical events worldwide. He has also won awards, such as the Tenco Award, the Mia Martini Award or several World Music Awards.
