The Nuevo Teatro Alcalá will host a concert on 27 October to pay tribute to Tito Losada’s career spanning 50 years, with 40 established and up-and-coming flamenco artists. This special event will celebrate the career spanning five decades of a living legend of the flamenco art, bringing together an elite group of singers, dancers and guitarists.
Under the musical orders of Tito Losada, invited artists, such as La Chana, Antonio Canales, Jesús Carmona, El Choro, Tomasito, Pilar Jurado, Lole Montoya, Israel Fernández, Jose Soto “Sorderita”, La Fabi, Jose Valencia, Zambullo, Miguel El Rubio, Morenito de Íllora -Junior-, Materia Prima, Samara Losada, Sergio Bascu, Jose del Calli, Eleazar Cerreduela, Gabriela Giménez, Iván Losada, Jerónimo Maya, Jesús de Rosario, Carlos Losada, David Cerreduela, Juan Requena, Curro de Navajita Platea, Luky Losada, Antonio Losada, Iván Losada Jr., Lukito Losada, Juan Parrilla, Jesús Montoya, Pedro Giménez and Batio will be participating, among others. This is undoubtedly an unrepeatable experience to celebrate a whole life devoted to flamenco.
The virtuoso guitarist Javier “Tito” Losada is the creator, producer, musical director and leader of the Tito Losada Company, which has visited stages all over the world. He started his career in the flamenco houses in Madrid, where he learnt from legends of the likes of Camarón, Paco de Lucía or La Paquera. His career evolved to perform major concerts at Carnegie Hall in New York or Kensington Palace in London, as well as going on tour in Japan in front of more than 200,000 spectators.
Tito Losada has managed to build a legacy that goes beyond music. Throughout his career, he has shared the stage with artists of the likes of Antonio Canales, Enrique and Estrella Morente, La Lole, Raimundo Amador, or intellectuals and students of flamenco, such as Félix Grande and Ricardo Pachón.
