32nd Lied Concert Series - Marina Rebeka

The Latvian soprano, Marina Rebeka, will be making her debut in the CNDM Lied Concert Series with a recital full of emotional intensity and accompanied by the pianist Marcos Madrigal. The concert, scheduled for 15 December at the Teatro de la Zarzuela, includes a repertoire that moves from the elegance of Giuseppe Verdi and Francesco Paolo Tosti to the expressiveness of Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninoff, as well as the less common treasures of Ottorino Respighi or César Cui.

Marina Rebeka, considered to be one of the most outstanding voices of her generation, is back in Madrid to present a programme that will review the essential pieces of the European Lyrical repertoire.  With an impeccable technique and her unique expressiveness, Rebeka will perform compositions by Schubert, Strauss and Verdi, among other great composers of the genre.

Throughout her career, the soprano has performed in the world's leading theatres, such as the Opera of Vienna, the Scala in Milan or the Metropolitan in New York, performing roles of extreme vocal complexity.  Her versatility and her performance sensitivity have made her an artist of reference in the romantic and bel canto repertoires.

The Lied Concert Series, one of the most eagerly awaited events of the season, is holding its 33rd edition at the Teatro de la Zarzuela, offering the opportunity to enjoy the most prestigious voices on the international scene in an intimate format of great artistic quality.
