Standing on the site of the former La Chocita del Loro on Gran Vía, this new theatre, which opened on 14 November, promises to become the heart of theatrical comedy in Madrid. Run by Sandra Reyes and Carlos Ramos, producer and creator of Corta el Cable Rojo, respectively, and managers of Teatre Muntaner in Barcelona, the theatre’s programme will focus mainly on stand-up, music, comedy and improv. The theatre will also offer delicious food in the form of dinner boxes.
The auditorium has the capacity to seat 220 people, between the circle and the stalls, which can be adapted according to the needs of the event or show. The interior has been designed to create a kind of club/cabaret feel, with chairs and tables. The food served will vary depending on the show and time of year. This is made possible thanks to the partnership between the theatre and the restaurant Pulso by Eboca. So audiences can enjoy food and drink while watching a concert or a comedy show.
With shows running from Monday right through to Sunday, the theatre will be showcasing concerts, stand-up, comedy and improvisation shows. There will also be an alternative programme that will offer different cultural experiences.
