The Planetarium reopened its screening room with limited capacity and with the following measures in place:
Access to the Madrid Planetarium is currently under strict preventive measures. The Screening Room and exhibitions located on street level are only accessible to a limited number of visitors. Use of face masks is compulsory.
Only visitors who have purchased an entrance ticket will be able to enter the Visitors’ Centre. Inside the Screening Room, visitors will be seated by Planetarium staff. The visit will be staggered. These measures are intended to guarantee the safety of visitors and workers.
Exhibitions, workshops, projections and activities like star-gazing invite us on a journey to unravel the mysteries of the cosmos.
The Madrid Planetarium reopened in 2017, after a state-of-the-art refurbishment undertaken by Madrid City Council and La Caixa Foundation. The revamped building features new exhibition areas and a modern, high-quality screening system endowed with powerful astronomy software for an amazing journey through the universe.
The planetarium offers fun shows and activities for kids and even allows visitors to explore the night sky live thanks to the Megastar-2 projector.
