An overview of tourism in Madrid (reports and graphs available only in Spanish):

This section compiles key figures, indicators and tourism trends in Madrid, enabling the monitoring of changes in demand, supply, occupancy and tourism-related economic indicators.

This segment compiles and analyses the performance and evolution of the main indicators of Madrid's accommodation infrastructure (hotels, hostels, guesthouses and regulated tourist flats).

The Air Connectivity module analyses air transport to the city of Madrid, covering the available routes, scheduled flights and seat capacity, as well as trends in aspirational demand and confirmed bookings.

The Spending section measures the direct economic impact of tourism by analysing international visitor spending during trips to the destination. It does this by examining monthly tourism spending statistics and analysing spending patterns by visitors during their time here, as recorded in transactions.

The Visitor Profile space collects and presents essential visitor data on an annual basis. This data is segmented by domestic and international origin, providing a comprehensive overview.

The Destination Sustainability segment uses seven indicators to measure the impact and long-term effects of tourism on the destination. These indicators were developed in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the European Tourism Indicator System (ETIS), with a focus on environmental, social and economic factors.

The Behaviour module analyses visitors’ interest in and perception of Madrid by studying spontaneous interactions on social media and on the main tourist booking platforms.

The Visitor Flow section uses data from mobile networks to analyse visitor mobility in the destination, providing insight into visitor distribution across the city.

The Benchmarking space analyses key connectivity, accommodation and length of stay indicators to assess the destination's positioning in relation to other urban destinations.
