Zúccaru

Since 2017, Juan and Rossana, from Madrid and Sicily respectively, have been serving home-made Sicilian-style ice creams and a wide variety of Italian desserts and pastries from their small shop in Plaza de Ramales, next to the Palacio Real and Plaza de Oriente.

Zúccaru (sugar in Sicilian) came about to pay tribute to the best Sicilian cuisine and the Italian ice cream tradition in the heart of Madrid. The ice creams are 100% home-made, most of which are dairy-free and suitable for vegans, made with natural products from local producers, as well as being gluten-free and free from hydrogenated fats.

Sicilian cannoli, whose dough and filling come directly from Sicily and which are prepared on the spot can be found here, as well as coffees, typical Italian pastries, cakes, etc. which can be sent anywhere in Spain thanks to the home delivery service, or ordered to take away.

Zúccaru is committed to the environment, which is why 90% of its packaging is biodegradable and is made from 100% recycled material or is sourced from responsibly logged forests.
