This Italian ice cream firm was founded in 2002 by Cristiano Sereni and Paolo Benassi, who opened their first parlour in Ile Saint-Louis, in Paris. More than twenty years later, Amorino is now present in several countries around the world, including Spain and, of course, in Madrid, where they have four centrally located shops.
In the shop on Calle Mayor you can try ice cream, sorbets, gourmet sundaes, gelato macarons, crepes, waffles, hot drinks, ice cream desserts, delicatessen... Their products differ from others in that they only use carefully selected ingredients to make their handmade ice cream, with no preservatives or artificial flavours.
Their ice creams are easily recognisable because they are shaped like a rose, using a spatula to create the petals, and you can even choose to have each petal in a different flavour.
Amorino has been a pioneer in the production of organic ice cream and sorbets since 2002. Their whole range of sorbets and wafer cones in which they are served are vegan and have been certified by the Vegan Society (ECOCERT) since the brand was founded. In addition, since 2007, all its ice cream and sorbets have been gluten-free.
In Madrid, they are also present in the Galerías Canalejas shopping centre, in the Gourmet Experience of El Corte Inglés in Callao and at No. 3 Calle de Postas.
