This cultural centre, the only of its kind located in the surroundings of Paseo del Arte (Art Walk) and the Barrio de las Letras (Literary Quarter) neighbourhood, offers a wide range of cultural activities centred around art, music, design, literature, image and gastroculture. The space also serves a meeting point for cultural agents and professionals.
Spread over almost 4,000 square metres, it's nestled between Calle de la Alameda and Calle de Cenicero in a unique industrial building from the first quarter of the 20th century. This former Belgian sawmill is an outstanding example of industrial design of exceptional architectural quality: its value has even been recognised by its inclusion in Madrid's Landscape of Light, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, not to mention it's other accolades such as the XII Spanish Biennial of Architecture and Urbanism Prize in 2013, the COAM prize in 2013, the Sacyr prize for Innovation in 2014 and the COAM +10 prize in 2023.
Currently, this versatile space, characterised by its unique personality and appeal to a diverse audience, embodies the city's cultural vibrancy. It hosts a wide range of creative and exhibition projects, offering over 1,000 m2 for artistic displays and a dedicated area celebrating poetry, literature, and Madrid's role as a literary capital through the centuries.

ESPACIO LETRAS
Located under Plaza de Las Letras, this versatile and dynamic exhibition space is part of Espacio Cultural Serrería Belga. Its exhibitions centre on Madrid and its literary heritage, celebrating the city's rich cultural narrative.
The space is currently hosting Madrid, Literary Muse, an exhibition that delves into the city's literary history. It highlights the works and authors associated with the iconic Barrio de las Letras and explores the origins of the building that houses this cultural hub. The exhibition is designed to be both engaging and participatory, offering a playful approach to discovering Madrid’s literary past.
