Circo Alegría will be premièring its latest major family production in Madrid, turning the rink into a surprising marine universe where the circus and water join forces to create something extraordinary. This immersive experience can be visited from 9 October to 7 February 2027, from Friday to Sunday in the Big Top set up next to the Ice Palace (Palacio de Hielo).
In the Gran Circo del Agua, the audience will be able to embark on an adventure that combines some of the most spectacular international circus numbers with dancing fountains, 3D technology, major visual effects, fantasy characters, music and humour.
Giant whales that fly over the heads of the audience, creatures rising up from the depths, mermaids, pirates and an ocean that appears to come to life before the eyes of the audience all form part of a stage design that seeks to blur the boundaries between the rink and fantasy.
Once more, Circo Alegría takes environmental awareness messages as the key feature of the show’s story. In this case, a deep love of the seas and oceans. Storms, pirates and sharks will shape an adventure in which reality and fantasy are constantly interlinked and in which the audience will gradually discover through the leading characters that perhaps the true challenge is not finding the greatest treasure of the seas, but rather understanding its true meaning.
In this latest show, water is not just part of the stage design but becomes one of the key features of the show. The production includes dancing fountains synchronised to the music, lighting and visual effects, creating different atmospheres as the story moves on. The rink is therefore transformed into a fantasy ocean that constantly changes before the audience.
