Considered to be one of the greatest guitarists of all times, Santana will be performing a double concert on 28 and 29 July in the Complutense University Botanical Gardens (Real Jardín Botánico Alfonso XIII). These two dates form part of his Oneness Tour 2025, which will be stopping off at the latest edition of the Nights at the Botanical Festival.
The Mexican guitarist, Carlos Santana, is a maestro in the fusion between blues, rock and Afro-Latin sounds. In 1966, he founded the Santana band, which was a pioneer in fusing Latin music with rock. Throughout his career, he has sold more than 100 million albums worldwide, including the sales with his band and in his solo career. He has won ten Grammy Awards, three Latin Grammy Awards and in 2003, Rolling Stone magazine ranked him number 20 on its list of the 100 greatest guitarists of all time.
His latest Oneness Tour, which kicked off in the United States in 2024, is bringing him to the Nights at the Botanical Festival for the first time. Named after his 1979 album, Oneness: Silver Dreams - Golden Reality, this tour is a unique opportunity to enjoy such memorable songs as Samba pa ti, Black Magic Woman, Corazón espinado, his version of Oye como va by Tito Puente, The Game of Love and other great classics from the Mexican musician's career.
