The Italian singer-songwriter will be performing on 10 December at the Palacio Vistalegre Arena as part of his new tour, which will take him across Europe. Considered one of the great voices of contemporary Italian music, Mengoni has built a very successful career over 15 years, making a name for himself on the European pop scene.
With 85 platinum records, over 2.9 billion audio and video streams, eight studio albums and ten international tours, Mengoni has made an indelible mark on both the music industry and the hearts of millions of fans. His style combines pop, soul and electronic music with profound lyrics and an artistic sensibility that transcends languages and borders.
He rose to fame and embarked on his professional career in the music industry after winning the third season of the Italian version of the X Factor. One year later, in 2010, he was named Best European Act at the MTV Europe Music Awards, becoming the first Italian artist to achieve this. From there, he went on to win the 63rd San Remo Song Festival, represented his country at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2013, and won the MTV Europe Music Award in the category Worldwide Act/Europe.
His album Liberando palabras (2016), the Spanish adaptation of Parole In Circolo (2015), reached number one in sales in Italy and achieved multi-platinum status. The album features ten tracks adapted by David Santisteban and a duet with India Martinez.
In 2023, ten years after his first victory, he won the 73rd San Remo Music Festival with the song Due vite, which earned him the right to represent Italy again at the Eurovision Song Contest 2023, held in Liverpool.
