The punk rock and alternative rock singer known as Yungblud is embarking on the IDOLS World tour to present his latest album, Idols, a double album that will feature the different sides of the young musician. This tour will stop off at the Palacio Vistalegre Arena on 11 October, which will also feature the band Palaye Royale as a special guest.
Born in Doncaster, United Kingdom, in 1997, Dominic Richard Harrison, alter ego of Yungblud, is a songwriter, guitarist and vocalist who got into music through his father, who owned a guitar shop. His grandfather, Rick Harrison, performed with the legendary psychodelic rock group, T. Rex, in the 1960s and 1970s. His artistic name comes from when he started to stand out on the music scene, as a producer once called him young blood. Dominic contracted these two words and created his rock pseudonym: Yungblud.
He made his debut in 2018 with 21st Century Liability, an album that stood out for its social awareness reviews and for combining different styles, such as postpunk, indie rock, rap and ska, as well as showing his own aesthetic of the punk genre from the 1970s and 1980s. In 2019, he worked with Travis Barker and the singer Halsey on the song 11 Minutes accompanied by a video clip that presents a tumultuous relationship.
At the end of 2020, he released weird!, a second album with songs like Strawberry Lipstick, God Save Me, but Don't Drown Me Out, Cotton Candy and Acting Like That, which includes collaborations with artists of the likes of Machine Gun Kelly and Travis Barker. Yungblud (2022) was released two years later, confirming his worldwide success thanks to songs like The Funeral, Tissues and Memories in collaboration with Willow Smith.
In 2024, the artist launched his own festival, Bludfest, held in Milton Keynes (England) which was attended by more than 22,000 people and generated more than 200 million views. He also became a best-selling author according to the Sunday Times for his book You Need to Exist. Now, Yungblud is embarking on another world tour with the arrival of his fourth studio album, Idols, which will be released on 20 June 2025 from which the singles Hello Heaven, Hello and Lovesick Lullaby have already been heard.
