Wet Dreams. Mayrit 2024. Design and Architecture Biennial

From 9 March to 25 August, Floor 3 of the CentroCentro cultural space will host an  exhibition that explores water and its role as a catalyst in eco-social relations through design practices that embrace decolonial, cuir and hydro-feminist approaches.

Wet Dreams is an exhibition that explores water and its role as a catalyst in eco-social relations, covering issues such as health, fertility, freedom, desire and enjoyment. The exhibition forms part of MAYRIT 2024, the Madrid’s Design and Architecture Biennial, directed by Miguel Leiro, who works with CentroCentro to organise the Wet Dreams exhibition, devised by Marina Otero Verzier.

The exhibition is divided into seven design practices that explore different aspects of water and fluids: Emanations and Soakings; Rain and Other Discharges; Overflows of the Repressed, Orifices and Shared Fluids, Pressure Valves and Overflowing Pipes; Leaks and Hedonistic Waste and Sensorial Prosthesis.
