The dancer and choreographer, Sara Baras, will première her latest show and one of the highlights of contemporary flamenco from 4 February to 13 June 2027 at the Teatro Gran Vía, paying tribute to her homeland, Andalusia.
Following its première on 11 September 2026 at the Seville Flamenco Biennial and after touring various locations across Spain, the show is coming to Madrid in 2027. This production brings together eight women on stage who recover the heritage and essence of flamenco through a performance marked by strength and Andalusian identity. The piece was conceived as a celebration of the flamenco legacy and the cultural transmission that spans generations.
This show offers an emotional journey in which eight female outlooks embody a single pulse: that of Andalusia beating to the rhythm of dance, music and memory. The piece is built on silence, respect, and listening, championing flamenco that is open to the world, yet deeply connected to its roots. On stage, the performers perform a choreography that oscillates between delicacy and intensity, shaping a show that delves into time, the land, and the art that remains alive through those who dance it.
