The acclaimed American singer and song-writer, Ryan Adams will be performing on 12 October 2026 at the Teatro Lope de Vega as part of his Solo Europe 2026 European tour. This is a very special tour in an intimate format, in which he will review his greatest hits, as well as presenting his latest album, Self Portrait, released in 2025.
With a career spanning more than twenty years and known as one of the great composers of contemporary rock, Ryan Adams will present a series of solo concerts in some of Spain’s most emblematic venues.
Throughout his career, the musician has been described as “one of rock's most talented songwriters” (SPIN) and he has more than 20 studio albums to his name and has sold millions of copies worldwide.
In addition to his solo work, he has produced albums for renowned artists, such as Willie Nelson, Jesse Malin and Jenny Lewis and has worked with influential bands, such as Weezer, Fall Out Boy and America. His contribution to music ranges from song-writing, production to performance, both solo and in projects like Whiskeytown and Ryan Adams & The Cardinals.
His self-titled album, which was released in 2014, stands out, having been nominated for two Grammy Awards, along with other albums, such as Heartbreaker (2000), Ashes & Fire (2011), Easy Tiger (2007), Cold Roses (2005), Jacksonville City Nights (2005), Gold (2001), which includes the country ballad When the Stars Go Blue, and Love Is Hell (2004) which includes a cover version of the popular song Wonderwall by Oasis. He has also won many awards, including the NME Best Solo Artist in 2003 and 2004.
His most popular songs include New York, New York, When the Stars Go Blue, Come Pick Me Up, Oh My Sweet Carolina, Lucky Now and Let It Ride, which reflect his ability to combine lyrical sensitivity with melodies ranging from rock to country music.
