Mourinho’s Madrid side will be playing another match in the Champions League at the Bernabéu Stadium on 21 October against the German team managed by Martín Demichelis.
This season, the UEFA Champions League will follow the same format, with 36 teams participating in the league phase, each playing eight matches against eight different teams. On completion of this stage, the top eight teams will go directly into the Round of Sixteen.
The teams ranked 9th to 24th will go to two-leg play-offs. Finally, those ranked 25th to 36th will be eliminated from the competition.
