The Californian band, The Offspring, will be in concert on 26 September 2025 at the Vistalegre Arena Palace as part of its Supercharged Worldwide Tour. In this concert, they will be accompanied by the acclaimed pop punk group from Canada, Simple Plan.
The Offspring is a punk rock band that got together in California in 1984 and is currently made up of the vocalist, Dexter Holland, Noodles as the lead guitar, Todd Morse on the bass, Jonah Nimoy on the rhythmic guitar, keyboards, percussion, backing vocals, and Brandon Pertzborn on the drums. The group has been one of the most influential in the resurgence of punk on the mainstream scene, leading the Californian scene of this genre with groups like Bad Religion or NOFX in the early and mid-1990s.
The group has sold around 70 million copies worldwide, having risen to fame with the release of its third album, Smash, in 1994, which is the best selling album under an independent label, with 17 million copies. Americana (1998) came later, selling 19 million copies worldwide and included great hits like Pretty Fly (for a White Guy) and Why Don't You Get A Job?. This was followed by Conspiracy Of One (2000); Splinter (2003); Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace (2008) which included the hit You're Gonna Go Far, Kid; Days Go By (2012); and Let the Bad Times Roll (2021).
Now, the group is embarking on a new world tour to present its eleventh studio album, Supercharged, released in October 2024, as well as its greatest hits. They are heading the line-up on this tour which is taking place after an absence of 15 years and will be accompanied by the pop punk group, Simple Plan.
