Palacio Vistalegre Arena will host an audiovisual concert on 4 April in which the best film music can be heard performed by a film music orchestra, a choir, famous soloists, accompanied by a sequence of film excerpts, as well as a light show and laser projection. The evening will be presented by a special guest from the original productions.
The German musician, Hans Zimmer, has become one of the most prestigious soundtrack composers, who is characterised by the integration of electronic music and symphonic-orchestral arrangements.
Winner of an Oscar, a Golden Globe and an Emmy Award, he has significantly influenced the film world with his compositions for films, such as James Bond, The Lion King, Pirates of the Caribbean, Gladiator, The Dark Knight, Man of Steel, Inception and Interstellar. Hans Zimmer also received his eleventh Oscar nomination in 2018 thanks to his work on the soundtrack for Dunkirk by Christopher Nolan.
On the other hand, the audience will learn about interesting background stories, such as how Zimmer included a message against apartheid in the song text for The Lion King in the native language and told the Disney Corporation that it was about butterflies.
