The Moment is a Living Seed

From 28 October to 18 April 2027, the CentroCentro cultural space will host a joint exhibition that brings together the work of eight artists linked to the current Madrid scene. Through a careful selection of site-specific paintings, sculptures and installations, the exhibition delves into a way of creating art that does not seek closed or finished works, but rather pieces that are constantly evolving and enter into dialogue with the space and time. 

Curated by the art historian and cultural manager, María García Marqués, the exhibition is based on the metaphor of the seed in which something tiny and practically unnoticed has the inner strength to grow and transform itself. Based on this idea, the works do not seek to attract attention through noise, nor do they aim to compete for visibility. They set out to open up moments of tranquillity, reflection and care.  They are subtle works that pay attention to small details, bodies, fragile materials and doubts related to the creative process.

In this project, Madrid acts as a meeting point, bringing together creators on different paths who share similar ways of understanding the profession.  The works are displayed in the hall like a network of affinities and open conversations, inviting visitors to stop and look at the art, not as a fixed or specific product, but as a living gesture that continues beating as it is being observed.
