After establishing itself as one of the key bands of contemporary synthwave, The Midnight will be returning to Spain this autumn and will be stopping off in Madrid. On 2 October, the duo will be at La Riviera to master an electronic and 1980s evening.
Since breaking onto the scene in 2014 with the album Days of Thunder, The Midnight has become one of the pillars of the modern revival of synthwave. Their music combines soundscapes full of retro synthesizers, electronic rhythms and pop melodies that come directly from 1980s AOR and soundtracks, such as that of Drive or Stranger Things.
Their conceptual trilogy (Kids, Monsters and Heroes) not only built their aesthetic and emotional appeal, but also enabled them to connect with a global legion of fans who find vibrant shelter in their music. The band extends this experience in a live show that is visually absorbing, full of lights, projections and impeccable sound.
The Midnight has become an international phenomenon, selling out venues with capacity for thousands of people. For live performances, the duo is joined by three musicians: Lelia Broussard on bass, Royce Whittaker on the guitar and Justin Klunk on the saxophone and synthesizers. Their live, film-like show with an intense stage presence transforms each concert into an unforgettable experience for fans.
