The Nights at the Botanical festival will host an evening in which international pop and contemporary funk come together on 29 July in the Complutense University Botanical Gardens (Alfonso XIII Royal Botanical Garden), thanks to the American singer and songwriter, LP, and the Australian musician, Jet Vesper.
LP, the stage name of Laura Pergolizzi, is one of the figures with the biggest personality in international pop. She has written songs for artists like Cher, Rihanna, Christina Aguilera or Backstreet Boys and has developed her own career marked by a strong artistic uniqueness and an unmistakeable voice for the pop music genre.
International recognition came with the hit, Lost on You in 2016, a song that turned her into a global phenomenon, with more than a billion streams on Spotify. This single launched her solo career after struggling for years in the industry. Since then, she has consolidated her career with several albums, including Love Lines (2023), continuing with a project that goes beyond labels.
Jet Vesper has positioned himself as one of the most promising up and coming artists on the music scene. The Australian artist has developed a sound that combines funk, soul, yacht rock and disco music, giving rise to a contemporary fusion with clear references to dance music.
His style, compared to artists such as Parcels, Jungle or Tom Misch, combines elegance and rhythm in his own formula. With albums like Daybreak At The Electric (2022) and Casual Viewing Experience (2025), he has built a musical universe that stands out for its freshness.
