On Sunday 28 September, the latest edition of the Half Madrid Triathlon is taking place, with the central competition hub located in the area around the Casa de Campo Lake. Competitors can take on any of the three challenges: the SHORT distance, the HALF distance —which doubles as the Madrid Middle Distance Championship— and the AQUABIKE event over the HALF course. All races will be non-drafting.
The HALF race features 1,850 metres of open-water swimming in the lake, an 83-kilometre cycle on a single loop, and an 18.6-kilometre run. The course winds around the Casa de Campo lake, passes by the Huerta de la Partida, along Madrid Río, and culminates at the finish line beside the transition area.
The SHORT consists of a 950 m swim in the Casa de Campo Lake, 40 km cycling on a single loop and 10 km on foot in the same stages as the Half race. The HALF AQUABIKE involves an 1850 m swim in the Casa de Campo Lake, an 83 km single-loop cycle, and 280 m on foot (finish line entry), with the starting line by the transition area and the finish line by the football pitch.
Participants registered for the HALF race will receive an exclusive race jersey. It is very important to check the size chart, as once the size is selected during registration, it cannot be changed.
