Christmas sees the return of one of the city's big festive hits: a spectacular 3D lit-up ball with a diameter of 12 metres, weighing seven tonnes and fitted with 43,000 LED lights. This year, the huge bauble will be located at Plaza de España, right beside the entrance to the Sabatini Gardens (it used to be displayed at the intersection of Calle de Alcalá and Gran Vía avenue, just in front of the Metrópolis Building).
The lights on the sphere allow light and sound to be programmed and synchronised in order to create a spectacular pixel mapping session that is reproduced on a loop.
Docking stations:
- Plaza de España A (esquina con Martín de los Heros)
- Plaza de España B (calle de los Reyes, 18)
