Woman Experiences presents a unique experience to discover the Mexican artist, Frida Kahlo, from an unprecedented and profound perspective. Until 31 October, the ground floor of No. 30 Paseo del Pintor Rosales will be transformed into an immersive experience featuring sensory installations, projections and a photographic exhibition—all of which can be rounded off with a Mexican tasting menu.
In collaboration with UN Women and with support from Banco de México, this experience invites visitors to explore the life, art and emotions of Frida Kahlo through three rooms that reveal unknown facets about her personality and legacy. The first room offers an unprecedented photographic exhibition, featuring never-before-seen images of the iconic artist. The second space explores Frida’s thoughts, emotions and relationships through her original letters—a deeply personal reflection of her life and struggles. Finally, the third room offers a sensory experience in the Live Art Room, where interactive art engages the senses to explore the story that shaped the artist’s life and work through creativity.
At the end of the tour, visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy an exclusive gastronomic experience, which highlights the authentic flavours of Mexican cuisine. A five-course tasting menu offers a journey through Mexico's rich culinary tradition, accompanied by a tequila and mezcal tasting.
The atmosphere will be brought to life with live music composed exclusively for this experience, guided by a team of hosts—including artists, actors, singers and mime artists—who will accompany visitors throughout the tour. This immersive encounter not only pays tribute to Frida’s life, but also serves as a call to action in the fight against gender-based violence, contributing to the global goal of building a more just and equitable world
