This year, the final of the Fitboxing World Games will yet again be held at the Caja Mágica in Madrid on 8 June. Teams from approved centres that have qualified in the tournaments held in different countries will take part.
This sporting event brings together more than 45,000 fitboxers and more than 100 clubs from different countries will take part in this edition of the Fitboxing World Games (FWG), once again attracting athletes from all over the world and exceeding all expectations. More than 60 teams will qualify for the final in Madrid, where they will compete in several knock-out rounds until the winner is decided. It is a team competition in which four members of one team will compete against four members of another team in two-minute rounds.
In 2024, Fitboxing is crossing new boundaries with teams from Italy, Portugal, Argentina and Russia, as well as Germany and France, which are making their debut in the competition this year. In order to take part in the event, all team members must train at one of the approved international centres, as well as having a trainer validated by the FWG.
The Brooklyn Fitboxing centres at Las Tablas and Móstoles (Madrid) will be the venue of the first tournaments where teams all over Spain will compete to win a place in the fight for the title. It is worth noting that the Hit Queens women's team from Madrid was crowned champion in the 2023 edition.
Fitboxing is a non-contact discipline that combines boxing moves with kickboxing and Muay Thai. The punching bags are also fitted with sensors that can measure the force with which the teams punch, as well as being able to do so to the rhythm of the music, which makes for a good visual show. It is practised all over the world and there are hundreds of centres in Spain alone, many of which specialise in this discipline, such as Brooklyn Fitboxing, organisers of the championship.
