The acclaimed Film Symphony Orchestra (FSO) will be coming to the Sala Sinfónica at the National Music Auditorium on 10 April to present its latest show, Wanted. This concert is devoted to the soundtracks from the best westerns from the history of film, such as The Magnificent Seven, A Fistful Of Dollars or The Good, The Bad and The Ugly, among others.
Wanted presents a show in which the legendary western chords are brought to life: Morricone’s whistles, dusty guitars and the pulse of duels at dawn are brought together in an unforgettable musical journey. Morricone’s whistles will be heard in the Dollars Trilogy, Bernstein’s legendary The Magnificent Seven, Tiomkin’s epic score for The Alamo and The Big Country, gems such as The Cowboys by John Williams or Bruce Broughton’s Silverado.
Film Symphony Orchestra (FSO) was founded in 2011 by the musical conductor, Constantino Martínez-Orts. This ensemble is made up of more than 80 musicians and exclusively performs concerts of film music or music by composers closely linked to the seventh art. Its aim is to bring symphony music to a younger audience through the universal common thread of film.
Constantino Martínez-Orts is a composer and orchestra conductor born in Valencia in 1977, who has conducted ensembles like The BBC Concert Orchestra (United Kingdom), the Craiova Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra (Romania), “Oltenia” Philharmonic Orchestra of Craiova (Romania) or the Sofia Festival Orchestra (Bulgaria). He is a professor at Berklee College of Music on its Valencia Campus and he has released five albums devoted to film music.
