On 2 October 2026, the Sala Sinfónica (Symphony Hall) at the National Music Auditorium will host Odyssey, the Film Symphony Orchestra’s latest tour. The ensemble presents an epic journey in which fantasy worlds, lost civilisations, far-off galaxies and unexplored lands are brought to life through music.
In this latest concert, the audience will be able to enjoy some of the most exciting and unforgettable film soundtracks, with titles from Avatar, Interstellar, Gladiator, Lord of the Rings, Dragonheart, Out of Africa or The Goonies, among many other surprises. It is a unique journey through the melodies that not only accompany great stories, but also form part of our story.
Film Symphony Orchestra (FSO) was founded in 2011 by the musical conductor, Constantino Martínez-Orts. This ensemble is made up of more than 80 musicians and exclusively performs concerts of film music or music by composers closely linked to the seventh art. Its aim is to bring symphony music to a younger audience through the universal common thread of film.
Constantino Martínez-Orts is a composer and orchestra conductor born in Valencia in 1977, who has conducted ensembles like the BBC Concert Orchestra (United Kingdom), the Craiova Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra (Romania), the Craiova “Oltenia” Philharmonic Orchestra (Romania) or the Sofia Festival Orchestra (Bulgaria). He is a professor at Berklee College of Music on its Valencia Campus and he has released five albums devoted to film music.
