The Estampa Contemporary Art Fair is holding its 33rd edition from 9 to 12 October in Pavilion 6 at IFEMA MADRID. It is an event with a general programme and curated sections, which will bring together national and international galleries and diverse forums, debates and parallel activities. This event seeks to position itself as the major event in the art market, whereby it is a reference for galleries and collectors.
The fair’s General Programme includes the participation of leading national galleries, and incorporates newer ones that are updating the transformation of the national market. The programmes of national and international collectors are growing, reflecting the vitality and interest in galleries in Spain.
The 2025 edition will bring together the most active galleries and collectors committed to artists from our cultural context, presenting new sections and gallery programmes through a new Curatorial Committee that will select and organise the fair's proposals and update the Advisory Board made up of active collectors in our market.
The 33rd edition of Estampa will feature Liliana Porter as a guest artist, who will present a project specifically created for the occasion. Liliana Porter (Argentina, 1941, resident in New York since 1964) is one of the most internationally renowned Latin American artists. With an extensive career in visual arts, her work combines various media, such as printmaking, painting, drawing, photography, video, installation, theatre and public art. Lorena Martínez de Corral will curate an exhibition devoted to the artist with works belonging to collectors resident in Spain.
Liliana Porter's unique vision has led her to exhibit in venues such as the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) in New York, the Fine Arts Museums in Caracas and Santiago de Chile, the University of North Carolina, the Institute of Culture of San Juan de Puerto Rico, the Bronx Museum for the Arts in New York, the University of Texas in Austin and the Phoenix Art Museum in Arizona, among many others.
