The Estampa Contemporary Art Fair will hold its 30th edition from 19 to 22 October in Pavilion 4 of the IFEMA MADRID fairground. The event has a general programme and curated sections that will bring together national and international galleries and include various forums, debates and parallel activities. This meeting seeks to position itself as an unmissable art event for galleries and collectors.
The General Programme of the fair involves all the major national galleries, and incorporates other younger ones to keep up to date with all the transformations taking place in the national market. At the same time, the national and international collector’s programmes are continuing to expand, reflecting the vitality and interest in gallery art in Spain.
This 2023 edition features Secundino Hernández (Madrid, 1975) as the guest artist, who will present his most recent work in a series of large-format stencil paintings. The artist’s work is part of the tradition of pictorial practice and has evolved according to the needs he has felt at each moment, so the artist himself says he cannot define it in a concrete way. His painting is characterised by the desire to explore and experiment based on his interest in the essential aspects of the construction and development of pictorial discourse.
The Corporate Collection programme, in turn, supported by the Ministry of Culture and Sport with the participation of the Department of Tourism, Sport and Culture of the Spanish Confederation of Business Organizations (CEOE) houses an exhibition with works selected by Lorena Martínez de Corral from collections such as Inelcom and Sorigé, among others. The organisers of this programme will share their experiences and the benefits of involving contemporary art in the entrepreneurial spirit and work philosophy of their teams.
