The performance of flamenco devotional songs known as saetas has become a firm fixture of the capital’s Easter celebrations in recent years. Virtuoso flamenco singers accompany certain religious processions, performing from the balconies of some of the city's most exceptional buildings, including Casa de la Villa and Real Casa de Correos in Puerta del Sol on the 29 March and the 1, 2, 3 and 4 April.
