From 22 to 24 September 2026, the IFEMA MADRID exhibition centre will host the fifth edition of this event, which brings together more than 15,000 executives from the property sector at the largest real estate event in southern Europe. The District is bringing together professionals from across the value chain to analyse the macro-trends that will shape the market in the final quarter of the year and looking ahead to 2027, as well as to learn about significant operations and initiate new investment negotiations.
The slogan for this 2026 edition is Where Capital Takes the Lead, which highlights the central role of investment as a driving force behind property transactions. As part of the event, The District World Summit is also taking place, a conference bringing together more than 450 specialists from international funds and companies to share their analysis and outlook on the future of the real estate sector. The sessions focus on three main areas: the evolution of capital market structures, the transformation of various property asset classes (including Living, Offices, Hotels, Retail, Healthcare, Industrial and Logistics, Infrastructure, Energy, Data Centres and alternative assets) and the impact of ESG criteria on asset returns.
The programme, featuring more than 190 sessions, is organised into eight vertical forums and ten thematic agendas that analyse key issues for the sector in Europe, such as the shortage of affordable housing, the growth in student housing, the appeal of the Mediterranean region, developments in the hospitality sector, and the rise of data centres linked to the expansion of artificial intelligence.
In addition to the conference, the event features a hospitality area where more than 360 companies set up temporary offices to present investment projects and hold strategic meetings.
