Curtis Harding

Curtis Harding, one of the most appreciated and promising artists of contemporary soul is back in Madrid to present his latest  album, Departures & Arrivals: Adventures Of Captain Curt (2025), on 29 June at Lula Club. 

Curtis Harding, born in 1979 in Michigan (United States), is a renowned soul singer and songwriter with influences from genres such as blues, gospel, psychedelia, R&B and rock. Harding started out rapping, having travelled around the country with his parents and realising how important music is as a means of communication, but his family roots with gospel eventually led him onto the path of soul.

The American released his first LP Soul Power in 2014, an album that keeps the sounds of the 1960s and 1970s alive with contemporary rhythms, making modern and most contemporary R&B, mixing rock in songs like The Drive or I Don’t Wanna Go Home. Three years later, his second album came out, Face Your Fear, produced by Anti-. It is an album that already features among the essential milestones of today’s soul, safeguarding the classic dogmas of the genre but adding a sophisticated and modern finish.
