Audrey Hepburn, the legend of the silver screen, is getting her very own musical in Madrid in Christmas 2025, starting on 27 November, at the new Teatro Audrey. A musical comedy set on Broadway that pays tribute to the Hollywood star, produced with the collaboration of Sean Hepburn Ferrer, Audrey’s son, along with the writer and producer José Ignacio Salmerón and the composer Fernando Velázquez.
Produced by Since 1953 Productions and Sean Hepburn Ferrer, the world première of this musical elevates the figure of Audrey Hepburn to that of a true legend. It features original music by Fernando Velázquez, considered one of the greatest musical composers today, winner of a Grammy Award and a Goya, and creator of the soundtracks for hit films such as Lo Imposible, Ocho apellidos Vascos and El Orfanato. This production is also the creation of a fantastic creative team of professionals who have received a total of thirty prestigious awards in the world of entertainment and are led by the director Juan Luis Iborra.
The musical is set on Broadway, three weeks from the première of the most anticipated musical in history: Audrey Hepburn, the musical. However, the director and the producer have a serious problem: they have not yet found their leading lady. They don’t have an Audrey!
Notably, the show includes My Love, the last unreleased song by renowned composer Henry Mancini, winner of four Oscars and twenty Grammy Awards. In addition, this year marks the centenary of Mancini’s birth, composer of the iconic Moon River performed by Hepburn’s character in the movie Breakfast at Tiffany’s, which also features in the musical.
British actress, model and dancer Audrey Hepburn marked a turning point in the golden age of Hollywood, becoming a legend thanks to her unique way of understanding and living life. Today, with five years left to celebrate the centenary of her birth, she continues to top the rankings for fashion, style, beauty and elegance.
