The South Korean music group, considered to be the biggest and most successful K-pop group ever will be coming to Madrid for the first time to perform two concerts at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano Stadium on 26 and 27 June, as part of its BTS WORLD TOUR, which will travel to 34 cities with 79 shows, marking a historic new chapter for the group and its global fandom, ARMY.
This latest tour marks a return to the stage for BTS as a group since their hit 2021–2022 Permission to Dance on Stage Tour, which included 12 performances in Seoul, Las Vegas and Los Angeles. As one of the first K-Pop groups to rise to global fame and break attendance and revenue records worldwide, the band continues to redefine what is possible for the genre with this major stadium tour.
The tour will have a 360-degree stage in the centre of the stadium. This immersive format places the audience at the centre of the experience whilst increasing the capacity of each venue.
BTS (in Hangul, 방탄소년단), also known as Bangtan Boys or Bangtan, got together in 2013. It has seven members: Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook who have come to incorporate a wide range of genres in their repertoire n spite of essentially having been created with a hip hop style.
Having gained recognition for their music, first rate performances and the way in which they interact with fans, the group has established itself as a 21st century pop icon, breaking many world records. It has been nominated for a GRAMMY on five occasions (63rd to 65th editions) and has won many awards, such as the Billboard Music Awards, the American Music Awards (Artist of the Year 2021) and the MTV Video Music Awards. BTS will release new music in spring 2026, marking its much awaited return, which will undoubtedly revolutionise the history of pop music.
