André Rieu and the Johann Strauss Orchestra

The Dutch violinist, conductor and composer André Rieu - also known as the King of the Waltz- will be giving a concert alongside his orchestra, the Johann Strauss Orchestra, performing famous waltzes, soundtracks and songs from musicals with the affection and humour that characterise all their recitals. 29 January 2026 at Movistar Arena.

The 'King of the Waltz' and his orchestra are returning to offer one of their characteristic unorthodox shows, performing songs from the cinema, musicals, opera, waltzes and some of the world’s most famous classical pieces in a relaxed and playful way.

The Johan Strauss Orchestra was created in 1987 with just 12 musicians. It now has around 50 permanent members, who regularly perform alongside other famous musicians and guest singers.

André Rieu and the Johann Strauss Orchestra firmly believe that classical music is there to be enjoyed by everyone, beyond barriers and prejudices. That is why in their energetic joyful live performances, anything goes: you can laugh, cry, sing, dance, etc.

Rieu is one of the most popular live artists in the world. With more than 40 million albums sold, his concerts attract over 700,000 spectators each year, surpassing top music acts like Bruno Mars, AC/DC and Rihanna on the Billboard charts.

The concerts held in his hometown of Maastricht (Netherlands) are legendary. Against the backdrop of its medieval town square, fans flock here from every corner of the world every year to see Rieu perform alongside his Johann Strauss Orchestra.
